I am selling my 1970 playmate, it has a 65 hp Mercury 4cyl (1969) 2 blade prop, The Boat was built in 69 for the 1970 model year, orignal color is Burnt Orange and has a capacity of 3 listed on hull. Trailer is included not the best trailer but it seems to work. The back off the boat was cut by previous owner for steering rod clearence could be fixed with a little work. Any ?'s please PM me.I am asking $1,250 or best Thanks for looking! Any body that can tell me how to post pics that would be great!

Sure would like to see pictures of it! Have you loaded some pix up to photobucket or imageshack yet?

What is the status of the motor?

Do you have the old Checkmate emblems from the side?

Is the original interior in it?

one of the original emblems is missing the other is on the boat. I am not sure about the interior it has a black vinyl folding bench seat. The motor is of course not the original- it's a 4 cyl and needs a tune-up and the seal behind the prop. Any ?'s let me know.

I'd be interested in seeing some more pics.

How is the transom, stringers and floor?

How does the motor run? Have you done a compression test?

PM me your email address and i can send you the pictures I have on my laptop. I can't do a compression test right now I am in Fuji City, Japan till the end of the month. The floor was epoxied over by the previous owner and I am the 3rd or 4th.

ANYONE INTERESTED????

FYI: I went and saw this one... it has POTENTIAL!!!

I have a bunch of photos if interested! :thumb:

Hull needs a basic resto, but very workable!

Cool design... neat deck, sporty looking, GW invader type bottom?

Merc 65hp looks OK (but did not hear it run at that time I saw it)...

Great small boat / fun toy project... (I have too many projects already)!!!

For photos... e-mail me at boaterhead@yahoo.com :surf: JIM

I did a compression test tonight and had 105 psi on #1 and 110 on the other 3, I forgot to open the throttle and it was on idle. It was cold and has not been started in a while so I think the numbers are good and just needs a tune up. I might put some plugs in it this weekend and see if she fires up without any problems.
