" For Sale" 1980 Predictor with 115 Merc

1980 Predictor

New member
I have owned this boat since 1989, what a great boat. It is 17' long with the very reilable inline, 6 cyl Merc and SS prop. The interior is newer and in great condition. It handles great and does about 65mph. Brand new steering. Comes with trailer.

I will miss it greatly. Best offer.

Medina MN

My 76 Trimate II with 150hp inline six only does 56 mph and thats with the wind to the transom lol. Thats also with the lake like a sheet of glass .

Many Moons ago I had a 79 Predictor with an 80's v-4 140hp Johnrude with low water pick-up, a chopper and a bob's jack plate it ran 60' ish... But can not say it handled well.

slow, poor handling boat pictures

give him a break, maybe the speed gauge is off a little. what's the price and post some pics

Nope, not in this world:shakehead:

easy guys, Its prolly the reading he gets off his speedo, which we all know are a little on the high side. mine says I get a hair over 50, which is prolly at least 10mph higher than Im actually getting. Will, your boat is prolly a bit faster when the lakes not a sheet of glass, some ripples will get more air under the hull.

1980, good luck on the sale, photos will go a long way. For a price, depending on the condition, anywhere from 1500 or so up to 4000 (in immaculate condition and in this market prolly not even) with that motor. i paid 1900 for my 82, but it needed some work, and didnt have many extras. price goes up with quality of gelcoat, compression numbers on the engine, lack of floor and transom rot, and stuff like a stereo etc.

I had an 89 predictor with a 115 merc on it that did in the mid 80's.
Behind my Jeep. On it's trailer. Of course even that wasn't a GPS reading.
