1985 Entertainer

Checkmate-boat members,
Here are two pictures of my 1985 Checkmate Entertainer. I purchased this
boat off the dealer's showroom floor in the Fall of 1985. This boat has always
been my most prized possession and a beautiful sight to behold. Without a
doubt, I had one of the best looking and fastest boats on the lake.
A few months after putting this beauty in the water I had an unfortunate
health issue, I lost most of my eyesight. Not being able to see clearly or more
than ten feet in front of me, I had the boat winterized and put into a mini storage
unit. Luckily, with computers I was able to keep my job and pay the storage bill.
However, with rising storage rental fees, I have arrived at the point of having no
other option but to sell her.
I was hoping some other members with more Checkmate knowledge would
possibly help me arrive at a fair market value for this type of boat. I have limited
options available to me so any information would be of extreme value.
Here is some information on the boat: 1985 Checkmate Entertainer; 260 HP
Mercruiser I/O; dual axle trailer; all instrumentation is from the factory with the
addition of a cruiselog, Sanyo AM/FM Stereo cassette player with two speakers;
mooring cover.
This engine has thirty-three hours of running time and the boat has the
magnificent two tone metal flake finish. Trailer has been driven fifty miles
or less. This boat is in pristine condition.

Although I'am posting from Illinois the boat is stored in Northern Alabama accessable by my retired parents. I would like to thank all in advance for any information I receive and a special thanks to the board moderator Chris for his post on how to post pictures and
messages on the board.

Please feel free to e-mail me privately with any suggestions or comments.

Hi Brian,

I am sorry to hear that you have to sell your boat. It sure does look beautiful. Unfortuatly I dont have any idea what it would go for, but I am sure others here would. I wish you the best of luck.
