For sale is My 1985 Checkmate Starflight 21 foot speed boat, The motor is a 200HP Mercury Black Max. Compression on all cylinders is 120+. The exhaust ports were raised by someone before me which takes away some bottom end but increases overall top end RPM, The Max comfortable speed for me in this boat is right under 60, but it has throttle left and if you wanted to push your luck you have a little more to play with. Hydraulic trim works but needs the sensor on the pivot for the gauge, all other gauges work .I had the lower unit removed and water pump and all bearings and seals were replaced in the lower unit. The Boat is located in Bel Air Maryland about 45 min north of Baltimore.
Last year I got tired of fighting the cable steering so I upgraded to a Sea Star hydraulic steering system and what a difference, The trailer is an EZ loader with new tires and rims on the ground and a new tore on an old rim for the spare.
Excellent Fuel mileage so you can go all day on 40 bucks or less. The motor is equipped with direct injection for the oil which everyone says is a weak point, I have disables the direct oil injection but have all the parts if you wanted to reactivate it (very easy to do). I did not like the system since the warning system on this older motor DOES NOT stop the engine so basically the beeper would gop off as the motor blows up so i am allot more at ease just mixing the oil in the fuel.

Grill with mounts on both sides of boat
