I can understand your confort level riding with others. Be patient, guys like Brian are hard to find and always there for you when needed.

You will regret selling the boat if you don't need the money. There are always other Checkmates to buy if necessary unless this is the one you really want.

Thanks. It's the mate that I want at this moment. The wife and I are torn between what we really want. We love riding on Brian's 283 and Doug's 253 but are leaning towards a cruiser in the future, something we can leave at LC and have a nice place to stay. I've thought of keeping this and adding that on down the road. I am very thankful for friends like Brian and Doug who have always been willing to take me with them when they head out.

dave, i am thinking of going bigger at the moment. but i know i will miss the waterski thing, easy handling on the road, smaller so much faster on cleaning, still can handle it on my own totally.
my question is if i go bigger, do we use as a family more often? go out and going for weekend trips etc. that answer is no because of the working shedules of me and my wife.
i want to go more recent thats for sure. but still thinking about it totally.
i geuss it not high enough on my wish list.
