1988 Senator with 454 magnum in Holland

Great looking Senator !!! What intake and carb are you using ? Is that a special carb for LPG ? I would like to change my stock intake and carb , but I will be running gas .

2 Redboat:

Yes it's a special LPG carb (Impco 425 mixer) But the intake manifold is stock. You can put these mixers on to the Quadrajet throttle body so it fits very good.

We do want to change someting else: we want to put a Weiands marine blower on the engine. As soon as we got some more money to spend on the boat we are going to purchase one. :D :D :D

Weiands makes blowers just for MerCruiser engines. :thumb:

Dennis,
You have a rare boat, I own an 88 Big Block Senator a hockey player had mine custom built its Black,Pewter, and Red; Bad Ass Boat, my Checkmate ran 88 mph at 5,600 rpm all day long.

Hi guys,

It's been a while since my last post, but the boat is finished!!

We ran it for the first time about a month ago, but within a few minutes we got some cooling problems... :( turned out to be the new water hose in the drive got twisted.. :bigthumb:

So i fixed that and a week later we did the 2nd run... boat ran great, but i forgot the GPS and the speedo stopped working at 60 MPH (hose disconnected)... but after about 15 minutes and a long way from home we heard a big backfire and the engine stalled.. :(:(:( Turned out to be the trigger in the igniton... so now we rebuild the ignition with a new upgraded trigger and we fixed the speedo... now we're waiting for better weather for the 3rd run haha. I'll take the GPS with me to measure the exact top speed. :bigthumb:

My guess is the boat runs about 70 MPH.

I'll let you know the exact numbers soon :thumb:
