" For Sale" 1996 Arctic Cat Jag 440 L/C - $900 - NY

Figured I'd post it here just in case someone is looking for a cheap and reliable sled to play on:

I am selling my wife's 1996 Arctic Cat Jag 440 liquid cooled. It has a tick over 3000 miles on it, plastic skis, a studded track (72 I believe), spare belt, a few other accessories, and the track is in good shape. Always starts on first or second pull and I just got finished firing it up for the season after having stored it since last year in the enclosed trailer. The hood is in fantastic condition and crack free as is the windshield. It has been my wife's machine for the past two years and before that it was my buddy's wife's machine for probably close to 10 years and from what I am told the original owner also had it for his wife so it has been female ridden and not abused. Only reason we are selling it is because I want to upgrade her to a newer sled. If you are looking for something that you can hop on and ride when the snow starts flying this machine is ready to go. I replaced the speedometer drive and cable last season, checked the bearings in the drive and jack shafts, and lubed every fitting on the whole machine last year and only put a couple of miles on it during a trip upstate just to make sure everything was still in working order. The only damage on the whole sled is the original seat cover has some splitting seams and had a crack right where you sit. I "repaired" it with some regular duct tape and then put a layer of black duct tape over that to make it blend in. It really doesn't look all that bad but the fluorescent lighting in the trailer is pretty harsh. If it doesn't sell we'll just hang onto it as a spare so please don't bother making crazy, lowball offers but I am willing to negotiate on the price some.

Sled is located in Orange County, NY. About 50 minutes from Manhattan.

Thanks.

Those Jags have always been great machines. If you weren't so far from me I would of bought it for a spare sled for my daughter, brother or one of my sons girlfriends to ride with us. Did any of that snow make it to your place last week. I hope you can stay off that Crossfire long enough for your wife to ride it !

Nothing here yet. Guy that bought it got it for his kids. If I had more room it would have stayed. Hopingfor some snow by next weekend. If not its time to start harassing my buddy to get upstate to his parents' cabin the weekend after New Years.
