235 persuader

How fast are the 235 persuaders and with horsepower and has anyone tried a two-inch shorty Bravo Drive on one
 
All the puzzle pieces are falling together now. lol. Very nice boat, and quite possibly one of the sickest sounding Checkmates I have ever heard!!!

:welcome:Ha. If this is the 235 I think it is. I made a few kids cry when I fired her up at the Higgins Lake sandbar. I sure do miss that boat lol. They say you never forget your first Checkmate ! There is a 235 down south that runs over 100mph I have been told by a very good source. :thumb:
 
I met Jack, redcheckmate at LC last year, he approached me at the gas station when he saw my boat. 20 minutes later he showed up at Grider Hill when I was getting ready to launch and the ramp was a mess with high water, he was nice enough to hop in my truck and help me get launched. Hell of a nice guy.
 
I bought it that way. The original owner who ordered the boat all white had white lightning put on it years ago. As you can see in his documents that came with it. He traded it in on a new Corvette as his down payment. I bought it off a Woman that only owned it about a year. She paid about 20k for it and I bought it off here for way less than that. She had them graphics put on in Grand Rapids Mi. where she lived. Her fiance had many go fast boats and a few cruisers and he dealt with the boat until I bought it. They only put about 30 hrs on it if I remember correctly. The boat has ran 83 + in its prime . I had it close a few times with the 28 spinelli. After driving through some chine at 76 or so it straightened right up. Some days no chine walking at all. Enjoy it. There are quite a few that run in the 90s around. Seeley Wright Toy Store was in Kalamazoo Mi. not Grand Rapids where the original owner traded it in towards a Vette. They sold new and used Cars ,trucks,boats ,quads ,bikes and whatever else. She bought it from them. The original guy had it about 18 years and kept extreme care and documentation of the boat.

That would be cool and racist at the same time lol. I never cared much for the new graphics. I still have one set of the fore sale flyer you probably got the guys phone number from. I think a bow lifting prop would help it gain speed. If you watch the vid of it I took that Dave posted , even with it trimmed up it is plowing water running way flat at about 75 there. Fun boat you have there.
 
That's why I have been asking if anyonehas tried a shorty drive on a 235 persuader or not see if will a little faster with a new property and short drive
 
I would call Jason up at Kunkels marine. They did the set up and rigging on the 100+ mph turbo 235, so they have a lot of experience with that hull.
