250 ProXS Optimax trim limit question

I have a 2007 205ProXS outboard on my 2100 Pulsare CD. My trim seems to stop about 15 or 20 deg up when operating at high speed. Is there a limiter in the system? ..... or is there something wrong with my setup?.

It trims up at low speed without any problems .... doesnt seem to have any fading issues.

My 2010 250XS did the samething, I couldn't figure it out then all of a sudden it started working properly. Never did figure out why it was doing it. Good luck.

If I remember right there is a sensor on top of the engine that limits the trim.

the trim pump has two modes, trim then tilt, trim will lift motor say 3'' and typically stop.then it switches to just tilt. in tilt mode it generally won't lift under any kind of load. hope this helps!

Replaced the trim relays .... all is good again.
