280 enforcer question

I am going to look at a 280 enforcer that's for sale here in Michigan and I am having a hard time finding any info on these. how do they compare to convincers? its a 1992 with a 454 mag that has a cam and some head work. owner says around 475-500hp. what kind of speed could be expected. I have done a search and the best I could find was fiftyp's 260 enforcer from years a go that he did a resto on. thanks guys!!

Well I don't know crap but i'll chime in with my two cents. How do they compare to the Convincors? I'm going to say that the Convincor was a better platform because that is what they sold a ton of. However I kinda like the molded in swim platform off the back of the Enforcer/Persuader and think the boat has a nice look. I think the Convincor's look is more aggressive though.

As for power, I can't imaging with some head work and a cam that your going to be close to 475 ponies. I'd guess right around 58 - 62 with a 365hp 454 but i'll let the experts chime in. I have my motor on the other side of the transom. :D

Great looking boat though and the price isn't too bad either for a true 28 foot boat with some creature comforts.

yes I agree with the convincor being the better seller. that must be based of production numbers or final $$$$ being my guess. my reason for considering this boat is that it has some nice comforts(space and shore power). we boat lake st. clair and like to spend the night so having so more amenities without my wife getting a sea ray is what im looking to do. I have a sunsation aggressor that I love and it compares pretty similar to the space and amenities of a convincor. I'd look at a 288 sensation but cant even come close to the price of the enforcer. I guess I'm going to have to make the 2hr drive and check it out.

he said crane cam, heads milled 0.30, ported and polished, and a intake. he said 1/4 tank of gas and 2ppl pushing close to 68-69mph. but again without seeing who knows

I was looking at a boat very similar to that before I bought my 283. IT was located in Kentucky at the time same colors though. Not finding any information on it I spoke to the folks at Checkmate and they told me me it was a model based off of the maxumm design, a little deeper of hull and not as fast as the convincors. It may have a diffent degree of deadrise as well, but I cant find my notes from that conversation. It might be worth a call I dont know if there are still people there that know. Great looking boat though, i love the red.
