37 inch RC boat project.

Been getting things ready for a bigger project. So I dug out some smaller stuff to work on at the same time. I figure if I got the gun out for the big stuff, I can shoot the small stuff too.

This is a mold I got from doing some trading with Kiasmate, I've built a couple out of it. But it has some issues, to fix them, the easiest way is to build a part out of them and clean them up and build NEW molds.

This is just one of several RC projects laying around here. Boatman, at least one of these has your name on it.

Lots of fiberglass projects have piled up, so lots of video's to make. Life got in the way of the big project, but things have come around so that I can get back on it too. I'll post those up in another thread.

Feel free to share your input, and help to keep me moving along, sometimes with the long hours I work I could use that.

Anyhow, here is the first video:

BTW, if you think that second boat looks like a BAJA, then your right.

Dave at XT Inovations gave that to me years ago, and I've been wanting to do something with it, now I'm gonna.

Very cool Coop, that 37" v-bottom (black mold) looks nice! Any pics of what a finished hull/deck out of that mold would look like? I have 37" Mystic cat R/C and a 37" traxxas V-bottom, both run really good on brushless electric power and lipo batteries, the cat is topping 40+ mph just on 4S lipo, closer to 50 if i move up to 5S. That hull of yours would probably run good to on electric with a lighter lay-up. Any pricing for a hull?

Yep, I did one a few years back and posted it over on Chris's other site, Endless boating. Rather than duplicating the thread, I'll just link it.

It was a dismal fail, I was trying out a new gun, and it just didn't do the job. There is even a video of the spray job.

No pricing yet, I need to see how much they cost to build first. With the new molds, I should be able to work at laying up some epoxy versions. Or rather get someone else to do it, I'm allergic to epoxy.

I can't see the photos over there cuz i'm not a member on that forum, i'll have to register tommorow sometime.

Here is a little tease for you then.

Nice!! I like the deck, very sharp! Also, what you said in the video about making the opening bigger is a great idea, weather someone wants to go gas/nitro or electric, hard to tell but it does look a little small. Does the hull handle well at around 40 mph, and in rougher lake water?
