540 freshin up "I hope"

Awesome bud! Knock sensor is great idea btw. Also, watch that 1000 rpm idle, bravo's dont like it too much. Hard on the gears. Slower shift speed the better. As fas as your afr's, im not sure. 11 is a little fat but boosted motors usually run that way. Bob should be able to enlighten you a bit im sure. Glad you are up and running great!

I did not say it right. It idles @ 750 but I don't let it idle that low when in no wake zones . The hardest thing on a the valve train is a low idle.and floating .The lifter will "jump off the ramp at slow speeds" and beat the lifter and cam up. we took a 90 mile trip in the boat sunday on the Ohio river. all was fine . Just a tad rich . I am going to jet it down a little and see how it is then.

got it.

I went to Kinkaid lake fri about a hour before sunset. It sure felt good to be back on the water.
The boat ran great . I had a few minor things to repair on the boat so I got a 30 pack of coors light and Joe and I found a good place to tie up and we did the repairs .
I had the temp wire for the gauge swaped with the temp alarm . I had forgot to run the ground wire for the new gauges .
After the repairs we went for a ride. The lake was smooth as glass, and the full moon was brighter that I can ever remember. I was like driving on a well lit personal race track!
After that Joe went home and I stayed to finish the job (the 30 pack).

Debbie came up that morning and we loaded her 100 lbs of crap in the boat and we went for the day with no problems . The boat runs great . The extra power is bad a$$. Getting on plain is effortless. 1/4 inch of throttle when cruising at 3100rpm snaps you neck. I only whacked it once
and it was a O'shi7 moment for sure.
I like when going about 50 mph and then push the throttle down about 1 1/2 inch the prop wash looks like a jet.
The sound . O my gosh does it sound good when docking Its just nasty. the cam Bob made for me is great. He said 1000rpm for idle ,and I have 14.7 a/f never died or fluttered...
I got some things to find out about.
1. what should your a/f ratio be at 1/2 throttle ,3200 rpm, 3lbs of boost?
on a car this does not happen . I had 11.0 a/f ratio. and that is close I am sure.
2. I think I may need a differant pully for the procharger to lower the boost. I saw 6lbs at 4700. thats what I want at full throttle.
3.I want to install a knock meter to to keep tabs on that when buying fuel other than the 93 I get at my gas station.
4. I have lost the two wires for the trim indicator. I have looked and looked and some how I have hidden it.
Does the wire comming out of the drive usually hook to the motor harness or the boat?
5.fix the hindge bolts on the motor cover. They have worn the fiberglass out a little and I want to catch that before it gets big.
6. I have to run the inter cooler out flow hose thru the transom .

3lbs of boost at 3100?
