Finally getting started on my 79 predictor resto. May look familliar to some, its a halft started project from one of the members here a while back. Pics later tonight

Should be a sharp looking boat when you get her done. I love the 70's and 80's look. Looking forward to future posts and pics.:thumb: Jim

Looking forward to seeing your finished product. My first CM was a 1975 Predictor BR, which I absolutely loved. Unfortunately she's been retired and sitting in the field waiting to be restored by someone. The hull design on these make a nice, lower wake that's great for slalom and barefoot skiing. Jim

Thanks im looking forward to getting it all done! Ive always liked these boats, the hull is a nice, fast design

Shes gettin a 2.4l merc with an 8" jack plate, bobs coned lower, ive got a 24&26 pitch choppers to try out on it. Hot foot throttle etc. the usual goodies

May I suggest that while that splashwell is cut out to put some tall knees on the transom. Its really not much work how it sits and adds a lot of strength. Sounds like a fun project, that boat should scoot right along.

Yea thats the plan, either going to delete the splash well like a pulse and fiberglass in some knees or put it back in with the knees tied into the splashwell like my challenger 21

Whats the best stringer to put back in these? Ive saw just a single up thr middle, single with 2 side supports, and then duals up either side of the pad. Was leaning to just a single up the middle

Well made some headway, got the deck off, finished up the transom, sealed the poly resin with epoxy. Slid the deck back on and started ruffing out the splash-well delete. Using 3/4 nidacore for the filler piece.
