85.3 gps

I'm running 11.5" of setback now, but am increasing that over the winter. How much are you running? I'm concerned about low speed wakeboarding/ski issues with much more. I have ran the motor from 2" below up to even with the pad, seems to run best about 1.5' below, above that slip starts to increase. Went 74.1 last weekend with a 27" tempest at 5750 rpm. I haven't found a bravo 1 to try yet, hopefully in the spring.
I have 13.5" set back. The prop that I started this thread with was a 28 bravo 1 that was labed and cut for low end, it allowed me to out run a yamaha jet boat from a dead stop. I could pull on him right out of the hole. I could not believe the hole shot it had. I have found that the yama dogs dont like the standard props that the mercs guys have good luck with such as tempest and trophy. You really need to try a bravo 1 26,28 4 blade or a yamaha T1 3 blade 27 or 29 with vent holes. If you are going to be runningaround +1 at the pad you will need a 15 1/4" prop for it to keep the slip #'s down. Hope this all helps. Any pixs of your boat ?

I thought my old boat jacked all the way up was even or slightly above the pad, remember to set the trim where ya run it when you measure.

I had to trim it up all the way and needed prob 2-3 miles to squeeze every bit out of her.

I bet with a worked 27 trophy plus on your and playin with the pvs holes/plugs you could get a solid 80 with a bit less chine walk.

I must be nuts, I loved the chine walk-and being able to drive through it...

Man I need another boat :( Headed to middle east in 2 wks... :-/

How is it with the motor that far back? No porpoise? Will it stay on plane at 17-18 mph? I will try out some bravo 1's in the spring for sure. I am happy with the tempests, not so much with the trophys.

That's the difference, then. I checked the height with the pad and propshaft level to the ground and it was 3/4" below. I'm sure it's higher when trimmed up.

I always make the motor level and then check where it is with pad when checking motor height. I don't know if this is correct but I figure if i do the same all the time it will let me know what works for me. Will be trying a different 28 bravo 1 prop when weather permits.
