Allison boats??

SRV

Hey inline are you guys building more srv's or just robs? And didn't the new crappy charger line include this model?

Hey guys, Do any of you know how fast the SS-20 would go with, lets say a 250 Promax a proper setup??
I dont have any Idea on the specs of this boat but Im sure its a fast one...

trade??

If anybody has on old starflight they want to trade for the allison and maybe some $$$ let me know :bigthumb:
The allison isnt going anywhere anytime soon
:cheers

It is always worth the time and money if you love the boat. Even if you drop $20,000 to fix it up, you will have exactly what you want, the way you want it. Compared to a new boat it is 1/3 to 1/2 the price, but your boat is customized for that price.

250 HP on the SS-20

Boston how about 75 to 80 mph. We have a 250 XB we may put on the old 18' Sleekcraft that we hauled out of the woods. I'm thinking that set up may see speeds of 85 to 90 mph if a round bottom V-haul can be driven that fast. I found a thread on S&F where a man was wanting to hit 90 with the same boat. His plan was building a pad to try and hit the 90 mph mark. What is the Allison rated for? We think the Sleekcraft is rated for 175 but they never came with a coast guard data plate back in the day. Good luck:thumb:

I havent checked yet but its probably 200. I was looking at an old 300merc but I dont know when I'm even gonna get the time to mess with the allison. I think with a propper setup and a 275 or 300, 90's arent unreasonable. This boat feels lighter than my predictor:eyecrazy:
I wonder if anyone has ran this boat over 100mph:confused:

Allison boats

Hi everyone, good site! My Friend just bought a 21 pulsaire with a 250 E tec so I got on this site to see one.Nice boat!! Anyway since I own a Allison Grand sport I thought you might like some info from an actual owner. They handle rough water as good as any 20 footer. I boat on Couer D Alene lake 40 miles long 5 miles wide with the average boat at 25 to 30 feet. I cruise at about 75 mph up to a foot to foot and half waves with my wife. I have run up into the mid to high 80's with myself in the boat with the same waves. It is not dangerous, however it does take time to learn to drive. I run a 225 promax short shaft , 30 pitch chopper lab finished 93mph 6700.This is my everday set up.I will let you know how it compares to the pulsair when we get them together in the water. Mike

xsive

I guess we A boat owners need to stick together. I can't believe Inline six has spent any seat time in an Allison unless it was poorly set up.What motor are you running, prop, setback etc. I would be interested to know your set up. Do you boat in Canada? Have you been to the Allison owners site? I also forgot to mention in my previous post in response to Boston Preditor that Allisons don"t like heavy motors .The 20 footers even though they are not rated (not required) they are very hard to set up with a 300 (unless its the 2.5 300 drag). I know guys have done it but I believe it would be tough. What do you think xsive? Mike
