Another Rough Winter Day in Florida!

Lucky dog. Hey Jup I have a question for you. We are thinking about spending a few months in Fla. each winter on the St.Johns river in Astor (Astor Landing). Have you ever run that water ? I know it has extremely good fishing and is quite large. Not sure if I should take my 283 or buy a pontoon. I have never been there but my aunt and uncle have spent 15 winters there. They absolutely love it but are not boaters. They are bikers.

Problem Child, bring your 283 or you'll regret it. There's some great boating in the St Johns River. That's up in Wildman's neck of the woods!

Thanks for the info. It looks like some serious water all the way to Jacksonville. Hoping to make a trip down to check it out.

In Minnesota (Land of 10,000 Lakes) they have streets and streetsigns and even stoplights on the frozen lakes to aid the traffic of the anglers. Above pics make me want to move except I enjoy paying state income tax.
