Any Interest In Vintage Checkmate Catologs??

Member
Hi All, I am a junk collector, never through anything out! That can be a good thing. Every time I went to drool over a Checkmate boat I always scoffed a catolog... I have the following years 1981 1982 1984 1985 1987 1993 1994 Also have the original Convincor outboard flyer with the high bow rails, circa 1982. The first Convincor I/O flyer, and the first Enforcer O/B flyer as well. Have a lot of old price/option sheets as well. Is there any one interested in seeing any of this old stuff?? Viper GTS

All this stuff would go great in "The Showroom" Its a collection of all Checkmate stuff. It also has pics of Checkmate brochures, and I bet yours would help that forum grow.

Viper GTS

I'm definately interested. If you are interested in selling some I'm interested in buying, or if you want to scan some for the board that's good too.

If you want to strike some kind of deal, send me a mail.

Hi Chris Fleet Admiral, I do not have a scanner but I would be willing to send them to you so you could get them onto this site for all to enjoy. I dont want to sell them, They take me back to my youth, just return them when your through with them.. I even found a Enforcer flyer, prototype with no bow hatch or bow rails circa 1982. How about Bills attempt at a catermaran I have that too...Viper GTS...

I think a lot of the members would be interested especially if one of them happens to be the same year as the boat/boats they have or had at one time.I think if the ones you have could be loaned to Chris to post on the board(especially if you don,t want to part with them permantally)would benefit more Checkmate fans.I would like to see the 1985 catalog for sure but I have had a 1982 and 1983 Checkmates plus two older ones.Having a copy of any of those years would be nice.

Fellas,

I'll let ya in on a little secret. I have most of the brochures from 1980 on. I don't have 'em all, but a heck of a lot of them. For the pre 80 editions, I've got a couple of members who have offered to lend me whatever I need. So stay tuned as I'm always putting up a few pics every couple of days or so.

In the 84 brochure they only list the 25' Convincor. Is that the boat we are talking about? I get confused because on some years they didn't add the swim platform to the length and on some they did. If the 25 footer is the boat, then we have a pic of it in the Showroom in the 84 brochure thread.

No it's not a 25' it's 28'. I talked to Mike@Checkmate and he said it was a late '84 addition. Not in the main catalog. They only made them with outboards. '85 came out with I/O's.
