Anyone with an 85 Diplomat?

It appears at one time there could have been a divider in the engine compartment (passenger side) to allow for storage. If there is such a thing I am curious to what it looks like and how it attaches to the boat.

I could also use a few pics of the underside of a rear bench seat. The wood is gone so I’m rebuilding the frame from scratch.

Yes their is a board for storage in a Dip I/O. I can't tell you how it attaches but it is in my patterns at CHK.
As far as the rear seat base I do have patterns for it. Maybe we could send you paper patterns of it. You will have to call Mike and see 419-562-3881. Alan

My 85 Eluder has the partition for storage on the passenger side. Probably on the same order as the Diplomat. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow when I'm out in the river.

partition.jpgI I snapped a pic for you today. There is a cleat glassed to the floor and one running up the transom. The plywood partition is screwed to the cleats. You should be able to make something similar.
