Bow Stall

I've experienced s a little bow stall in my 1987 17' Sportfire. With 4 in the boat and wide open throttle the 135hp Black Max sputters and puts its way to plane and then runs awesome. I'm running a 3 blade stainless prop that I cannot find a pitch mark on anywhere.

Any advice on what 3 or 4 blade prop/pitch/rake would give me the best hole-shot skiiing performance and not sacrifice the 45 mph I'm gettin'?

With a 135 and a full boat you will have to sacrifice some top end if you want to get out of the hole faster.

A 135 on that boat should do 55 with 2 people and the right prop. Are you getting 45 with a full boat?

I'll bet you have a 21P prop.
