Cavatation plates

Who makes an inexpensive small trim tab set up that would work on a 20 Pacifica ? It has a whale tail on it now with supposedly a 350 hp motor, runs pretty stable but only cranks 4000 with a 21 mercruiser stainless. I'm sure I can get it to crank 5000 by just working with the basic set up, and tweek the motor and prop it after that. I'm thinking about an 8 x 10 in adjustable trim tab on each side will be a good place to start and dish the whale tail............... any comments ??????

Bill, try replacing that distributor module and go from there. I think that is some kind of an optical pickup, I cleaned it and it worked a lot better but I think that is still problematic.

I would definitely get rid of the hydrofoil, but that motor should be able to spin a 21p up just fine.

Bill, that motor can spin it.....there is just a little gremlin somewhere in the ignition that he didn't have time to fully track down. I am thinking it's the distributor module because it ran much better once the pickup was cleaned but I think it still needs to be replaced....all of the wires, coil, cap, and rotor are brand new.

I picked up one of those modules over at Saginaw Marine last year, I think it was like $40.00 maybe $600.00 not a big deal. That is if you are talking about the pick up that is in the dist.

So did I miss something here?? Did the Violator buy the Pacifica??
