checkmate pulse 186

Maybe it is interesting for u to to become a member of sportbotenforum.nl to.

i'm, since your post, a member under the same name on that board...

looking for a second hand zt260/280 in the US. from 20 to 40k. pricerange since the dollar fall like a rocket..

still reading about the issue's of importtax, BTW/VAT, transportcosts, transportinsurance, CE certifications, flying overthere to pick one up/or buying from pictures , LPG built in, dutch roadtrailer or keeping the US roadtrailer etc.

craiglist (NED: amerikaanse marktplaats) is my favourite listingpage.
i want it to run on LPG, otherwise is it way too expensive for the hours i spend in waterskiing and let it running around the veluwemeer on the fastlanes.

the experts (onder andere roelof bonestroo harderwijk mercury dealer) said to me that i needed a low hours engine. no racing type. no supercharger. and never ran with it either.
so a stock 8.1L 496-V8 is the max for me i geuss.

You call roelof Bonestroo an expert.... hmm i have a very different oppinion.. he has placed a new engine in my prefious boat... it has broke down for 4 times and 4 times he had to place a new one... and it is still not good that is why i sold the boat!

I saw you became a member of sbf, you should contact Machiel(Wampie) he imports a lot of boats for right prices( he is also the checkmate importeur) maybe he can help you.

there is an other senator on the forum who is doing the same as you have planed( turbo mac kwek) if i am correct he is a dealer in holland.

For upgrading your engine and importing engines, boats and parts you can contact pulse 8 he is doing that a lot to!!

running it over the veluwemeer!! i think we will meet this year you can find me there to.. mostly on the ijssel, i am trailering at zutphen most of the time

het valt me nu pas op dat het wat leeftijd betreft echt nog een mooie boot is.
het zwart glimt nog mooi.

geen afgeragt spul!

wie had hem voor sake, by the way? heb je nog een beetje zijn verleden kunnen nagaan?

nice clean boat, black is good looking. who had it before you?

i do not know who owned the boat before 2006 in 2006 sake had it.
the boat is in perfect shape!!!

today i have put the 10'' hydraulis setback on it, very curious how it wil do now

Guys please help me... i can get a good deal on a mercury 225 efi, de yamaha is good but i have to mix the oil and gas in my tank cause the oilpump is shut off...

the yamaha is a 20'' the mercury a 25'' can anyone tell me if this is a problem??

the one i can get the motor off is a previeus owner off my pulse he tells me he used a 250evenrude with 25'' tail on it to...and had no problems.

Your prop is going to be 5 inches deeper in the water with the 25 inch mid, that will pretty much defeat the purpose of the jackplate you just put on, I would imagine it would "work" but you gonna have to jack it to the sky to get that prop up. Seems like a lot of work and cash to avoid mixing the gas and oil. A lot of guys prefer to mix and disable the oil injection. its seems to be safer than trusting the injector pump.
Just my .02 though.

Any news on the setup now the summer is past?

I've got a 91 Pulse with 91 Yam 200 ProV, no JP, 3 bld prop, running 65MPH. I'd like know how others setups are so I can make the right decisions this winter with off season improvements.

ehh he has another problem. some strange spots on the bottom.

gelcoat with anti fouling coming up in bubbles. something i have never seen on a checkmate

i have contact with him on another dutch fastboatforum.

will ask him te react overhere.....

With the current setup 225 yamaha 10" setback 25p yamaha prov prop, it did 67mph i think it must go lots faster but can not find the problem..

Indeed there is an other problem!! looking at the bottom of the boot i saw the bottom was damaged, probebly hitting a rock..
looking further i saw the compleet bottem was coffered with osmoses..

so the checkmate is beeing repared, the antfouling has to be removed same as most off the gelcoat.. then the polyester have to dry for a view weeks
The a 5 layer gelshield most be applyed and then 2 layers of new antifouling.
so a lot of work.. and a problem i did not suspect from checkmate, expecialy because the checkmate wasn't inthe water perminatly.

cost of repair are quiet high about 2000 dollar.. but she will be as new..

finally an update on the numbers..
After the bottom was repaired the boot was lots faster!!

i am now running 73Mph with the current setup.. i think this is as far as i can get it with this setup..

i am now looking for a bigger checkmate with inboard, a cuddy but they are hard to find in holland and it is difficult to sell mu current checkmate

So when it is still there i am enjoying it very much
the virus is expending
A friend of mine bought an checkmate convincer 220 with a mercruiser 350 mag mpi
And senator-holland imported an senator..
So now we have three checky's in the neighborhood
