Checkmates NEW 40 footer

OK, so I love that 42'er, especially the paint. Looks a little Outerlimits like to me, but I like the paint on every Outerlimits I've seen so far. So I show my wife hoping to get a positive reaction, guess what? She goes "Is that the boat or does it have a blue tarp on the front of it?":irked:
What a buzz kill she can be sometimes.

NO COMMENT FOR ME ON THE 40 PIC UNTILL I SEE THE ENTIRE PACKAGE, ENGINES, DRIVES, AND CABIN.

IS THIS YOUR BOAT OR NOT '''onthehammer" :sssh:

I love the classic lines of the boat but the graphics are too busy for my taste. I would love to see it with a more tradational color scheme. Would I buy one? In a heartbeat if I had finances!
Checkmate has been around since the 60s and I want to see it last. When I first heard about this boat my heart sank. I saw the beginning of the end to the brand that I have loved since the 70s. I dont think a 38-40+ foot production boat is a good market to enter right now. The custom build market appears to be a better bet right now for this size boat.
Again, I love this brand and the people I have met through it. I do disagree with some of the style decisions made, but do see new first time owners in Checkmates because of these decisions. Another thought, Shogren became a dealer this past year. They appear to be a "big boat" dealer. Could the promise of a 40 footer be part of the deal?

Yes, our boat. As soon as I get my supporting vendor membership straightened out I will post some good pics. Here is the deal......Seelye Wright Toy Store is the only dealer for this boat. It is from the Chief mold, done the right way and the steps will work, tons of engineering in the layup and design on this one. Mercury 700's, NXT Drives, staggered, interior by McLeod. Completely redisigned dashes, interior, cabin etc. Nothing you have seen before.....sooooo, once my membership renews you will have more info and pics coming soon.......Thanks guys.....

Thanks for the clarification, I truly hope this venture works out for you and Checkmate. It will be nice to hear how the craft performs with 700's and see pics. of the rest of the boat.

Thanks for joining in and giving some clarification Jeff.
:poke:Chris, get his membership going so we can see some more pics.

I would like to see what the inside looks like. Hopefully has room to have an option for 4 bolsters and back bench!
