Hey how fast would a checkmate 270 convinsor with a 496 ho(425) run?

i love my 85-21'check with 2.5 handgrenade merc
hidden under a 75-4stroke cover. blows minds when i beat their 225s and 250s. ive got a classic boat set up right and representing. no matter what they do or spend, smilemaker just

i would like to show a pic if possible. my motor
man loves for me to blow his motors, and the
chincoteague boys better spend money, cause
my 4stroke burns a gallon/min at 7400rpm, and all i buy is gas, and the motor is a piece of
junk that cost nothing. go ahead and spend the
thousands, cause you wont catch the smilemaker.

I have a 270 Convincor with the 496HO and mine runs 70-73 on GPS with 1.65 gear ratio and 28" labbed Bravo 1. I think mine is an exception. I am on the Mississippi River so my 70 is upstream and my 73 is downstream. I figure 71.5 is what it would do on a lake. Not to say Vinny is wrong, but I've found most of them run close to that, at least a true 68 to 70 on GPS.
I may actually let mine go this spring. PM me if interested. It is almost mint...

Yes, I would get another Checkmate. I personally wouldn't buy any other type sport boat. As far as I am concerned, they are the best in their class. I don’t think I would ever get one bigger than what I have now, either. It’s about as big a boat that I can (want) to handle loading/unloading and docking, especially by myself if the wife isn’t along. Also takes a lot more time to keep it clean. Big boat…for me anyway.
