Cruising ROCKS!!

Those bigger boats and those dingdongs on big jetskis you have to put in thier place.Never lost to one yet!!

those guys are a hoot... ill slow down just enought to let get just passed me.... and just before thier wake swallows me up, drop the hammer and wave as you pass thier "fast boat"..

I NEED to move back to MI. The lakes here are some busy you cant run a straight enough line to hit top speed. you have to go late on a weds. night if you want to go fast. :pissed:

Just a huge LIGHT BULB moment and realized that the 'Z bridge' y'all are referring to is the Zilwaukee bridge. So putting in at the Rust Ave launch would make it more like 18 miles to Bay City? I'm assuming most of you average somewhere around 65mph when you're cruisng...
How would it take 45 to an hour?

I always launch at the Rust Ave. launch. It is a very nice city owned facility and is right next to M-46. My favorite part of the Saginaw river is the part through Saginaw where there are not any "no-wake" zones. From there it is only 45 minutes to one hour to Hooters and about 2 hours to the bay. Usually on the weekends there are quite a few boats (30-100+ depending on the weekend) anchored off of bay city state park. That is usually where I head to.

it is 18 miles from rust st. and 10-12 miles from the Z bridge. there are only a couple short no wakes from there to just south of bay city.

you can run all you want in saginaw but Bay City only has 2 miles of go-fast water. the rest is no wake due to all the marinas and docks.

its great to run around for a while in saginaw, the motor through the 1/2 hr no wake to get to hooters, and then have some beers and wings. after that you gas up and head back up river, stop at the middle grounds fro a pee break and hang out with all the other boaters doing the same thing.

see this link for more picks of the middle grounds from last year.
