eBay Checkmate Clone

MIC Code WST Comes back to Pisces Boat Co Inc in Tampa FL

The Coast Guard also mentions many bad accidents and cases. But doesn't list them.

Out of business in 1984.

pisces

my brother restored one and sold it locally. Even the decks were almost exactly like the MX-15. It was origionally all silver flake, and seemed to be built a bit lighter than a check.

That "bit lighter" may explain the "bad accidents"...........

Old Checkmates like MX's and V-Mates (like mine) are about as light as I would want to be in. My 17' V-Mate II was originally rated to be 712 lbs by the factory. Add my 275 lb Merc and even with fuel, I barely break 1000 lbs.
