The factory forwarded this ad along, thought you might enjoy it.

From what I've been told, this ad is appearing in October's Powerboat Magazine.

Enjoy! :)

(I thought this thread was locked before??)

I really like it, I'm glad they have someone who keeps everything along the same lines - matches the brochure, and the website.

The first time I looked at it, there was only the attached image, not linked - about broke my eyes trying to read it... then saw this thread after. oops.

Very nice add!! I would love to see that boat with a real nice single big block with about 650 horses pulling it. Something like a hawk or richie zull motor:thumb:

Have the add in the magazine. and SWEAR I have seen that boat running
up the St. clair river about a month ago on a weekend afternoon. looked great

Great add hope it sells boats. If I had more money I'd like to move to the coast and buy a big Convincor.

I think there is a mistake on the factory web page for the 30 footer,

They have 425 HP as max. What is top power in Single and Twins for the boats? Will they put Mercs 850's or the 1075?

In my opinion you are better running a single alot less headaches ;) How is this for a headache I would be willing to bet that the 850 with the drive and the 1075 are 1 1/2 and 2x the cost of the entire hull:eek:

Oh I know I can't afford any of it right now. I just want to know what I should be dreaming about each night when my head hits the pillow.
A mostly red 30 footer w/twin 1075s is what I think I want, but if they don't make then what? Dreams are free man, so go big I say.

Oh and who's the proof reader for the factory web page, maybe they''ll offer me a ride in my dream machine for helpin them fix a misprint.:D

I noticed that too, kinda funny they have 425hp max listed, then right next to it is a pic of the 525 motor. They might give ya some trouble if you were to ask for a 1075sci motor as an option, i know a guy on my lake that has a 270 BR Convincor with the Merc 600sci and he told me Checkmate gave hime the run around about riggin that boat with the 600sci, but he had the cash so they gave in lol. Also tho, i read PowerBoat every month and if you look at the option price break downs, the 1075sci with the #6 drive is around $175,000 dollars :eyecrazy:, over a $100 grand more then i spent on my house!!! Speed costs money, how fast do you wanna go? :D Very sharp lookin add tho, just got my new issue of PB, nice to Checkmate back in the mags regularly!!

You guys gotta quit ruinin my dreams with common sense.:irked:

But I guess it would be nice to know what is the biggest single and what the biggest twins are that Checkmate would actually put in the 30 footer.

It doesn't seem right that I should have to visit a dealer or the factory with cash in hand to find out.

I think Checkmate is doing the right thing by putting one of their bigger I/Os in BIG PRINT!

With the market shrinking (No Fountain or Baja) they may have an opportunity to take a bigger slice of the pie.

I know you I/O boys are loving it!!! LOL

Personally, I don't really care what they put in the add, it could be a CHECKMATE CANOE for all I care. I AM JUST GLAD THEY ARE ADVERTISING (and still in business)!:thumb:

HD

All good points HD

P.S. What's max H.P. of that Canoe, maybe it's in my price range.

My 300XS should do! LOL:thumb:

Now that would be a good April 1st picture.
HD on his brand new 19" Checkmate ultralite 300XS powered canoe, course you need someone real heavy in the front end and a tiller steering conversion for that O/B.

I was told by the factory, Infact I believe it was kip that you only see the 525 in the baja conversions because of the room in the engine compartment, Where the 244 is a true 24 foot boat the 240 is actually a 22 then the swim platform. I do not know or did I ask about the size of the engine compartment on any of the other bigger models , maybe if Kip is reading he could jump in.:D
You can buy your hull and there are plenty of enging builders ou there.

Oh, I get it, the twins they're talking about is two O/Bs on the 280OBX and the 270 and 300 get single I/Os, max 425hp. But it still sounds like they will put more in, if they put a 600sci in a 270?
