Finally finished my Convincor! Maiden voyage!

I blew this thing up about a year ago and finally got it back in the water this weekend. We actually gutted it down to a bathtub and started over. The only original thing left in it are the seats! Entire repaint with vinyl graphics.
Engine is .060 with stock rotating assy and Ross blower pistons, custom gring hyd roller. Stock rect port heads with stainless valves and ported bowls. Side mount Whipple and CMI Sport tube headers. FAST engine management, MSD ign and Aeromotive fuel pump.
Ran it a little over the weekend, at 3400 cruising speed is 53 on the GPS pushed it a little to 4500 and it ran 67 on the GPS. I cant wait to stretch this sucker out! Still needs some more tuning but we are getting there!!!!

Very nice...

Ross said he likes the "bigger checks", seems to apply here very well on at least two levels. That engine looks like something out of an advertisement = truly well done.

I would love to see a video of it running to hear how it sounds. :thumb:

looks like should make good power....interested what it will run....I'm still a month away I think....Rob

Thanks for all the compliments guys. The graphics look much better in person, I wanted something that was a little more modern. I personally couldnt stand the downward swoosh checkerboard! I would like to see the thing run around 80mph at 5200 but I dont know if it will get there. I have the tune very conservative as I dont want to hurt it yet.
I think the horse power will probably be around 550 give or take but that is just a guess.

Ran it a bit over the weekend. I got to pin the throttle once and it lasted about 12-15 secs before it tossed the blower belt! I got her up to 74mph at 4500 when it happened. Im still working on the program, it want to foul plugs after idling a while. I have 12 hrs on it, so far so good!

LOL, i love that statement. "hurt it yet"..... like you plan on it in the future. sounds like my self back in the day of stacking nitrous systems way before everyone was doing it.

A 28p B-1 prop seems a bit big to me on 500-550 horse unless you have some heavy heavy torque numbers.. A freind of mine running a mate with 620hp and 650 fp of torque is only running a 26p B-1. My engine is around 525-550hp and 600 fp of torque and I am running a 24p B-1. On good chop I can turn between 5800-6000 rpms. My engine is good for 6000.

I would like to get a 26p cut down to a 25p and then have it labbed.
