W/any color combo, how would a white deck w/small gey flakes look like(never seen one ).Would it have a pearl effect like on some cars.

You can lay down the white color first, then mix the flakes in clear and it will give it somewhat of a pearl effect! That's how it works on automotive paint! I've been painting cars for 11yrs

I might start experimenting with My Firebird hood. White base with alpha jewel flake then a bunch of clear on top. Might look good as long as it doesn't turn yellow with the clear on top.

White with Gray flake? I'm not to sure that would look to good. Mite look like salt and pepper. Sprinkle some dry flake over it and see what it looks like. It's not gonna look like pearl. Dry pearl is like powder and it rainbows the light just like a real pearl does. I have seen different color pearls over white. It looks good. It will look white until the sun hits it then you will see the pearl hue of what ever color pearl you use. Terminology: It will be pearlescent when the sun hits it.
Good luck on your color choice.
