Great vid. Looks like you got your hands full with those water conditions.
thats what makes it so fun:surf:
I am probably going to get a dual rack system sometime soon, just to be safe
:)
I think I should change my screen name to ChyneWalker

Chine-walking for sure!! Makes for a thrilling ride doesn't it? If you don't have dual cable steering now, then don't run that bad boy over 50 mph until you do! When you get it installed, tighten the forward cable against the rear cable and your chine-walking will diminish greatly.

sportfire

if you are still chine walking you need to raise the motor higher

get the dual cable

look at your helm it is probably set up for dual cable allready

looks great

i had a diplomate it is the open bow version of yours

i put a 2.0 v4 140 and had to jack it way up to stop the chine walk

good luck

daren

It only chine walks when is windy and rough but when conditions are calm its smooth sailing so I dont think I need to raise the motor up much more, maybe one more bolt. I still think I need to add 2'' more set back. It sure is fun though trying to drive through the chine:rof:

Hmm looks like my boat (all over the place in when its windy)

Id be very carefull with the chine walk at that speed my starflite is a little bigger and it can be bad i imagine the predicter can be an absolute handfull. Im trying something new this weekend i have the 10" CMC+2.5" and i added a CMC transom wedge in reverse on in hopes that this will keep the it squarer in the back. I will tell ya guys soon how that wedge panned out , sitting in the driveway it definatley looks 100% better. I figured by doing that ill add the positive trim without having to trim till it chine walks. Aaron

Nice video Boston . Just watching it makes my mouth water and wants me to get my sportfire done that much quicker.:surf:

Chine walking like that you should keep a little more distance from the other boats on your passes. Wouldn't want you to smack into one of them. Maybe you weren't as close as it looked in the vids but seemed pretty close to me.

That looked like it should have been a no wake zone. I'd be pissed if I had a boat there or anything.

If you've been running that thing with a single cable steering, you are nuts yanking that thing around in tight quarters at high speed. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

That is a good looking boat though and I'm glad you lost some of the stickers off the motor.

Thanks for the compliments everybody.
I knew someone was going to say something about that. Thats my friends dock and we do this stuff all the time so its no biggie.
I know the limits of my toys and myself. I am super alert, more so than the average person is. Ive been driving hi perf boats since I was 9 and Its in my blood, my father is the same way. I may be nuts but oh well, Im not the only one, and Im having the time of my life:lol:

Lookin good!

I dont see what all the fuss is about. It doesnt look like your walking that bad at all. You look 100% in control to me. Half the fun of driving fast boats is controlling the walk. It would be boring if my boat went in a straight line every time.

Thanks Adam. these guys would hate to see how I drive in the ocean. Nothing like jumping 6' swells 10' apart:eyecrazy:
I was out there today, the water was smooth as glass and there were huge swells from the storms we've been having. I wish I had the predictor ready so I could get some pics of the boat jumping 5' out of the water at 50+mph!!!
I would probably get an earfull about saftey. lol
It would be a sweet boat of the month shot for sure:devil:
