Gathering Of The Vibes- Bridgeport Ct.

Seaside Park Ct.- Anybody gonna be there by boat this weekend?
Think I'm heading up from Jersey City on Saturday and staying through Sunday. Sleeping on water. If it isn't too loud and rowdy for sleeping.
Anybody gonna be there?

That's a great looking trip Sim. What's the route plan? Up the East River after Jersey City?
Any idea on how long it will take you?

Would love to go along, but would have to be just myself as the family would be fairly stressed in our boat for that trip. Unfortunately have to attend a family party on Saturday evening, so any boating has to be done earlier on Saturday - thinking of exploring the Raritan river as its close to home.

Either east river up to bridgeport or put in at new rochelle which is halfway there and proceed. Depends on noaa models. 40 miles in 4 footers can be rough. Might even call for switching to 4 wheeled transport.
You might want to check on raritan weather as well.
About 2-3 yrs. ago we put in at new brunswick and traveled downstream into raritan bay with the intention of making sandy hook.
The bay was huge water that day with only a few large fishing boats out.
Got back to the mouth of the raritan with a huge sigh of relief and saw that all the normal sized boats weren't going past the barge and bridge out into the bay. They were just kinda hanging out in that area.

Looking like a wet weekend - you might want to take a rain check, or bring along that full yellow fishing suit and hat!

Kevin, I can't make it this weekend, but I'll send your number to Sim in case he goes ahead with it.

Weather forecasts look to be sucking. Gonna go by car.
That way I get to live for another day of boating.
Looks like Gathering Of The Vibes is gonna be a little damp and chilly.
Brings my mother-in-law to mind.
