gelcoat colors

anyone know where i can find on the net colors available for mixing in gelcoating?

i am also considering a white with metal flakes (such as blue flakes, or red and blue for a red, white and blue boat), anyone try or see that? what was it like. even white with silver? also considering any color combo that has a light color for the top surfaces like ice blue top and dark blue bottom.

ps.. this is for the mx16.

we used this company at a dealership i was with (sea ray). great company to deal with - matches perfectly - however they don't have any checkmate colors. looks like the prices have gone up a lot in the last few years. you may be able to find someone cheaper closer to home. i did a yellow pages search to find the company i will be using - look under wholesale fiberglass or something like that.

thanks CE, right now i am just researching colors and flake sizes. need samples to copy over and "paint' my mock-up computer version of the mx16.

Search ebay
Type "metal flake" in your search and some will come up.
Go with SF or standard flake(15x15), it really stands out. Smaller flake, you may as well shoot paint on it-it doesn't look as nice or flakey . You can get a cheap primer gun and it will shoot the flake fine. If you are doing a color change, you will need to use black or white as a base. How much flake to use depends on what you are shooting.
2 ounces per quart smothers nicely. I use 1 qt of clear with a quart of Duratec which lays down nicely. Catalize it by the gun cup as you spray, it will set up in the gun in 20-30 minutes.
