Getting the hang of it

My guess would be high 70's based on what I have experienced.

Two inches below the pad has been way to low on my boat to get any real speed numbers, but I have a sportmaster and it is a known fact that they have to be run high and dry!

Let us know when you run the GPS. That is what really counts!

I have new Cobra handheld GPS's for $88 shipped to the lower 48. $10 more to Canada. When I ran the 81.8 with the 250xs, I was 3.5" below the pad with a stock Torquemaster.

FYI: The last 2100 I had (Roberts Marine has it now) ran 90 with a 300XS and stock Torquemaster case.....I can't remember exactly how high propshaft was to get that speed, but it was around 1.5" below pad...and that boat has 14.5" of set back (5.5" CMC on a 9" static CMC bracket).....29" Tempest at 6200rpms.

Pierre: makes interesting reading at this slow time of year, but you just need to gps that sucker. PM me your address and I'll courier my hand-held accross the river to you on Monday. Or, I'll leave it at the bar at Pigales...
