Have deposit on wife's tubing boat, looking for:

Wife's 18' Four Winns tubing boat is heading out the door, pending completion of deal. I want something a little more fuel efficient, so here's my initial feeler for a replacement:

Wanted: Pulse 170 or Spectra 170 without power, near South West Michigan. Will be mounting a 150 ETEC or Optimax, so transom and flooring must be solid. NO project hulls. Boat must be mint for it's age. Will need trailer.

Possible others:

Pulsare 1600BR, any year.

Older Pulsare 2100BR, prefer one from mid 90's (cost)

Any other 17-21' open bow Checkmate in mint condition, not too new. Prefer outboard, but would consider I/O.

Not to replace the water sports boat. If I end up with an older bow-rider Pulsare 2100, then I'll probably turn that into my do-all boat. If I find the low-cost small bow-rider I'm looking for, then I'll build a hot boat for just me Water sports boat has to come first though...............

Hi Peter! For a Pulsare 2100 hull I've decided that I'll need the 3.0 motor in 225 or 250 horse. I'd have to pull your motor and sell it, then find a big block motor to hang off the back. My '95 Pulsare had the 225 Promax 2.5, and I'm wanting a little 'more' this time

Still looking, bow rider Pulsare 1600 or Pulse 170 or ? I'm now thinking of those horrible gas prices, so I'm going small and light and direct injected. Pulsare 1600 or Pulse 170 with a 115-130 ETEC or Opti would be cool.
