hey you want to go to the hot boat weakend on lake koschkanong aug 21? I am going and want to get a few more boats to go. The sunset bar and grill hosts it .They even have a few bikini contests. What ya think?

im in as far as i know, i just didnt know the date!!! i was there last year and was gonna run the enchanter but with the 2.5 on it i was classed with the allisons.......no chance for me!!

yep, been there the last few years, always fun, the "bikini" contest was always a crowd pleaser!!

do you know what time they start running? id like to get anchored in early to get a spot closer to the dock.

if you look on Screamandfly at the photos, theres a few with my enchanter and my buddies stingray in the background.

I have been looking for a jet boat with a big block. Everything that I see is in the 1970's. Does anyone know when they stopped making the big block jet boats.

just north of the stateline, takes 40 minutes tops from rockford.

If you come up I-90 you will cross the rockriver and see the lake. Right after the bridge is the exit for koschkanong.Take this exit it's on the right and at the stop sine take a right which takes you into town.On the right is a bar with a very nice launch or go a little farther cross the bridge and take youre first left and there is a marina with a good launch for 3 bucks.I launched there sunday with my boat and no problems. just stay about 150-200 yards off shore it gets shallow fast.When we see ya I'll tell you where to watch out for on the lake a few of the coves are 2-3 feet deep.by the sunset is all right as long as you dont come in past the docks.See everbody there.

the best i can do is the launch i use, if you come through rockford on I90, go north to wisconsin, past janesville you will cross the Rock River, as you cross look to your right (east) you will see the "red apple" resturant, big letters on the roof! take that exit,go to stop light, turn right, go down hill and on the right hand side youll see boats and a launch by a bar. costs like 5-10 bucks to launch but its a pretty nice launch with extra docks for picking up passengers. parking can get hairy if your a little late.

we could do like bdusted says and meet somewhere!

otherwise call to the sunset bar, they can give you directions to a launch on the east side im sure, would be a little closer for you.

link to map, we put in right at the bridge at 90/39, then go under the other bridge to the lake, im not positive by this map, but i think the sunset is on the "northshore"

Its on the north east side and the launch at the sunset is closed do to A BIG STAGE.

i thought sunset may send him another way, near the river or something. but it would be cool to have him come through rockford though!!
