I don't have to repower

My 250 Yamaha ox66 will ride again. The new SEI lower that only had 26 hours on it had a bad upper seal and ran with no oil. When the gears went it bound the shaft locking the engine up. Got good compression. SEI says they have a 3 year no fault warranty.

Still a wannabe in my Enchanter redneckin with a motor w/ a 25 inch shaft jacked way up on a Bob's hydraulic jackplate. Still a fun ride and I'm glad I didn't have to come off all that cash for a new XS. One day I'll get a new Mercury 250.

It sounds like everyone who has purchased one of those SEI units has had at least one warranty issue.

I got one on my enchanter and I can say I have beat it hard. I do have a small oil leak but it pressure test fine and there is no water in the oil. I called them and with no questions they said send it back and they will send a new one. I bought it through my neighbor marina and he sells a crap load of them. Mine and 1 other is the only problem children he has had. One thing about it is people rarely talk about how good a item is but always talk about an item when it fails. If nothing else, I can say how good of a company they are to honor their warranty like they do!
