labor day week

i know this is early but trying to plan ahead. anybody planning on doing anything on the chesapeake for labor day week. im gonna do a 4 or 5 day trip around the northern part of the chesapeake and looking for places to go. im leaving out of trenton nj and heading down through the c&d. wondering if there will be any meets or if someone knows of some nice places to go or if any other boats would like to tag along, right now its just my boat and a friends tagging along.
 
probably planning on going to jelly fish joels and red eye dock bar and possibly baltimore harbor or something, looking for a couple of other good places to go.
 
Sounds like you have a couple of nice stops already planned. It sounds like a nice trip I hope to stay out on the water for a week someday.
 
In between the two is Watermans crab house. Its a large place with plenty of docking live music and great crabs. Its right above the chester river right off the bay, they have a web site you can check out. If you want to cross the bay which isnt far up there in that part you can also check out the naughty goose. Its a smaller place but has a tiki bar, live music, sand under your feet kinda like jelly fish joels just a bit smaller in middle river. Keep us posted I'll be out somewhere but thats a while from now and honstly don't want to think that far yet cause thats like summers end . lol
 
oh yeah, If your going as far as red eye you should cross into the severn river and check out Annapolis while your out.
 
i was at watermans last year, nice place. i just found out about the naughty goose so started looking into there also. were thinking about baltimore harbor, i think the hard rock cafe is there and some other attractions. thanks
 
were gonna be at jellyfish joels from friday night 9/3 to tuesday morning 9/7 if anyone is out. keith, made reservations at the goose for dinner at 4pm on saturday if you and the wife can get a babysitter and meet us for dinner.
 
Sounds like a plan. Were planning on staying out that night. I can meet up with you Sat. afternoon, go to dinner then anchor up where ever you guys are staying for the night. I assume your staying on the boat in the cove at Jellyfish Joels. I also just saw my mistake in my earlier post. I meant the wild duck in middle river not the goose. Too many drunk bird places!
 
keith, sounds great, we made reservations for the nauti goose for saturday at 4. you might want to call and make reservations also. we made reservations for a slip at big oaks so we wont be anchoring out over night. we can tie up until we pull in to sleep or you can dock up for alittle and hang out at the tiki bar.
 
let me know if you wanna go we will call back and add you and your wife. we might change the time and go alittle earlier just so were not heading back when it gets dark out.
 
I checked on a slip and theres a two day min. on a holiday weekend. That was on there website. I'm going to call and see if I can get one for one night or if they allow staying overnight on the backside of the tiki bar. So right now all I know for sure is I'm going to the goose with you. If you can add me to your reservations that would be cool. I'll let you know my sleeping arrangments after I call and talk to someone.
 
keith, i'll call the goose tomorrow and add you and your wife and your boat in the reservations. i will message you my full name, call the mears greak oak marina, tell them you are with me and they might be able to do one night. we are staying 4 nights so hopefully they will hook you up. we called before asking for 1 night there and they said if we had a couple of boats than they would do it.
 
I called today and the girl I talked too couldn't ok the one night. Denny the dock master "yeah I laughed too" is supposed to call me back. So still not sure of sleeping arrangments.
 
hopefully they hook you up with a one nighter. we were supposed to have two other boats going with us and we were gonna do a one night there and they were ok with it.
 
keith, did you get ahold of the dockmaster. he is hard as hell to get ahold of, we tried calling 2 or 3 times to find out if they have finger docks, the girl on the phone said she didn't know and to call back to talk to him.
 
Nope still trying. Starting to piss me off a little. Maybe I should tell the girl I want a 65' slip for a week and see if I get a call back.
 
hopefully he gets back to you before labor day weekend. tell the wife to bring her bathing suit. picking up a 9ft trampoline and bringing our tubes to float around on.
