Lake Erie Boating Intro/Help

The bay isent too bad. That's where i do most of my boating with the Enforcer. Just Check the weather! Water is 5'-8' near the middle. Theirs some sunken rock piles and wrecks near the shore mostly on the north side. Check the maps their is quite a few. The waves are not bad depending on the wind and boat traffic. Water is usually prey smooth in the morning and after dark. Once the boats start rolling out of Sandusky the chop gets nasty, Especially near the channel. Don't know much about the water west of Rt.2 its usually pretty flat when i cross the bridge and was pretty stagnant the one time i was their this year. The sand bar on lake side is a great place to hang out or swim if your out far enough. Watch coming into the sand bar on lake side though their is actually three sand bars! The one you can see, one about 50' out that all the boats are parked on, and another thats about a hundred yards out. If you go their give the marker on the end of the sand bar a wide birth, the bar sometimes comes out past it depending on the day. Depends on your definition of good water too.
