Lake Hopatcong...Summer 2011...

I'm not too far away and I'd like to check it out but I'd like to head out with someone who knows the lake.

John

I live on Lake Hopatcong and would be happy to show you around. I hope to put my Mates in next weekend.

Tom

I might take you up on that Tom. Maybe I'll try to make it over before the summer crowds hit.

John

I'll definitely take you up on that Tom.
45 mins away from you.

Might even drop up this weekend to check it out. Haven't been over since moving in.

Anyone know if Hopatcong is usable yet?
Thinking of taking the new boat up there in the next week or two.

We have company coming so I can't take a ride down there. If anyone feels like coming up this way my friend's ramp is available and is usable even with the lake being low. I might go out for a bit anyways, maybe around 1 or so but have to stay local.

John

Ok John. I'm busy all morning till 12, so local is easier on Saturday.
Otherwise I would have been Greenwood bound.

Sim - I'll be hitched up and ready to go from Friday night.

I'm good for either one. Matters not to me.
Any feelings about the Hudson? Manhattan by way of Jersey City round about the back of Lady Liberty?

Now that sounds like a plan (also). And if you wanted to head to Greenwood earlier in the day to meet John, I'd tag along to catch up and stay a bit longer myself past 3.

Do we want to do Manhattan/Harbour on a half day where we only have 2 hours together? or plan a fuller day sometime soon? Aim for the "Tri-State Starliner Trio" to take part......

As long as I can splash it for a little while here to give it a shakedown run first. Gonna bring the families for a Hudson ride?

Manhattan is definitely a full day for the families, especially if we pull in for lunch in Ossining on the water by the Triboro bridge. Pisser of a day. If we time Hellgate right it's like Senor Frogs water flume coaster. My son once had his glasses ripped right off his face and we never found them.
Somewhere there is a very lucky flounder with excellent vision correction.
I'm fine with Greenwood lake from around 11-12ish to around 2-3ish. You boys in?

Greenwood it is. SOLD.

I'll see you both soon after 1pm.
Hopefully there's a spot to park another 22' trailer at the ramp...

If we do families on the Hudson it'll have to be on a Sunday. The kids have games on Saturdays.

As for Greenwood, if it works for Kris then great. If not you guys go to Hopatcong without me, I'll be fine buzzing around here for a bit. Of course I'd love the company but whatever works best for you all.

Oops. Cross posted that one. I'll check with Jay tomorrow to see if he can handle 3 trailers at his place but that might be too much. Might have to use a regular marina assuming one of them has a usable ramp.
