I have some light oxidation on the top surface of my red checkmate. I was told that the only way to really get rid of chalky look was to re-shoot a clear coat. That would be a winter time project, soooo what to do for now? I have played with some rubbing compound and it seems to take the chalk off. I've also heard of using 303 aerospace products? just looking for some real life testimonials. It's a 91 boat that I bought in 2001 so I don't think it always sat in a garage like it does now. When I bought it, it gleemed but I think/ know that the guy who owned it had sprayed a product similar to the 303 stuff on it to give it temporary shine for sale.
