Mistress IV - The Conception

Are we gonna get a pic by pic show of the build? Maybe Joe, Dean & Kip could provide use with that! Would love to see it come to life!!!!!
:bigthumb:

I will get with Dean and see if he could do that. Right now its all on paper but not for long !! I'll be ordering the speakers & steering wheel tomorrow and the ray marine gps/sonar next week. So here we go $$$
The enterainment will consist of:

2 Polk MM6501 UM 6 1/2 component system
2 Polk MM 651 UM 6 1/2 2 way
1 Polk MM 1040UM 10" Sub
Clarion CMS 5 6 Channel Media Receiver
Clarion XC6610 6 channel amp
Ray Marine A67 gps/sonar (which can work with the smartcraft, kinda cool !!)

What about the REAL entertainment? What ya gonna hang on the back? :D

A shiny new Pro 300 V-Rod with a T&H Atlas 6" Hydraulic Jackplate.
This will include the handy digital height sensor as well.
Unfortunatly, the options for the controls are limited to Merc in the side mount style due to DTS. Livorsi is prototyping a side mount DTS but its not ready yet.
So I see a small upgrade project in my future once availability improves.

I can't wait to see how that VROD with all that torque will push her!

Very nice! There's a 24BR on the Long Island Craigslist tight now with a 300 like that on it. Should run good.

Well from what im being told the Pro series has increased boost and the fuel trim
Parameters have been tweaked. Its supposed to be around 330-340 hp on the dyno. Plus the torque curve has been optimized, so yes I agree it should be a kick in the shorts !!!

I wonder if anybody has tried hopping up out-of-warranty VRODS with any success. I wonder if they can handle a few more lbs boost with a bigger pulley and retune?

I looked and looked but can't find it now. They got me in the crane today so I got time to kill, I'll keep looking.

I dont know bout aftermarket but i know that Mercury pushed one in the dyno cell up past 400hp by more than a few hp and ran it thru the dyno endurance runs and it came out still running like a top!

Yea, seems to me the vrod is a stout platform. I havent heard too much bad about them and i know center console guys cant get enough of em......to fit on the transom that is...

Seems like it could be one heck of a motor to mod.

My 175 was a strong running mota. Never had any issues.
Im thinking in the next 5 years youll see that new 3.0L 4 stroke
Evolve into the verado. Its actually larger in ci than my new one.
And im sure as more of these get out there and become the norm
People will develope "tuners" for tweeking.

Dave Bush Racing?

I got a solid mount set up from them. Replaced the upper mounts and hokey clamp that held them down that shattered twice. Beautiful billet piece, looks bomb proof.

I found it. Simon motorsports. I spoke with them concerning my 175. Their ecu could get 220hp from that motor. Not sure what the potential is for the 300.
Not cheap, about $1500 for the remanned ecu.

Your right. Too early for my brain to function. I got the mount from Simon. They're not cheap but all their stuff is top notch.

I need some of those LED's like that guy in Holland had !!!
Just think I have the whole winter in my garage to develop this new relationship !!
