Need to lift motor off boat

I need to remove a Mercury outboard off my Checkmate to replace the tilt tube.I recall someone telling me there is a big EYE bolt goes in the top of the engine but I removed the top cover and do not see a hole to screw it into.Anybody know how to do it.I replaced the steering cable for hard steering but the only way to get the old cable out was with a hacksaw then I found the tilt tube was pitted on the inside and will not allow the new steering cable to be installed.

Look on thop if the flywheel and the ligting bolt should screw onto the top of the area.. Tough to describe, but actually the bottom of the lifting ring has the large hole in it.

Yep merc has a lifting eye, see your local dealer they may have one. About $35. If not go to www.rickracers.com

Thanks for input and I finally found the lift tool.The biggest problem was finding out what they actually call that thing.If you look long enough a person can eventually find anything on the internet.Thanks for all the input.
