New Eng Hr gauge

Hey guys, my 94 convincor 251 still has the stock gauges and i want to change them out to update everything, has anyone every change the Eng Hour gauge, how do u get the hours to match up to the old one, i heard something about hooking a power source up to and let it run till u get it to the same number as the old one.
Also anyone have any advice on which brand to go with, I like the look of the Teleflex Lido series
Thanks

I always liked the autometer marine gauges myself. You can hook a power wire to the hour meter but it will take however many hours you need that many hours to change.

I would just save all original gauges in case you sell the boat and have the original hour meter to prove the hours and leave the new one alone.
