Not sure what I own here 13' O/B

Dust masks, Respirator and shop clothes. Open all windows and doors when done and used compressed air to clean shop. Works pretty well. Plus the trick to body filler is to sand it just before it fully cures. No dust.

The boat is a V-130 or V-131 the boats are the same, just different trim levels. The V-131 was the most popular and if there are no signs of windshield mounting holes I would say that is what you have.
If you are up for a fun boat, I would suggest to make it center steering with foot throttle and steering wheel trim. You'll have no problems with a 70h.p. OMC engine on it. If you want to go bigger(heavier) you will for sure need some transom tabs(I used "Smart Tabs" (automatic)and they worked wonders!!!). I also added two 3" transom knees to support the motor(probably overkill, but I like overkill). Checkmate actually had factory tabs(manual) that they installed on these boats, so don't let people tell you that you don't need tabs. I couldn't get my boat past half throttle without it jumping out of the water(not porpoising, it actually jumped the entire boat right back to the transom a good 6" out of the water(glass smooth lake).
I have a 85h.p. OMC on my V-141, and now that I have it set up, I know it would have no problems with an older 140h.p.(same weight as 85h.p.).
Do not put any setback on the boat, they do not like it. When you mount you're motor, drill your holes at the top of the holes/slots, as you will be lifting your motor to get the best performance(mine is 2 1/2" off the top of the transom).
As for your speaker pods, this is the only corner on my boat that showed any stress cracks(before the restoration). I would strongly suggest adding extra layers of glass to the back side of the dash/corner as well as inside your pods to help reinforce.
Good Luck, and keep the pictures coming.:thumb:

I am gonna reinforce the dash from behind when I start the center console build this weekend. As far as motors and speed goes, I am gonna start with the old 35 hp hanging on it now because I am giving this boat to a friend when it is all finished and he is an inexperienced boater so I don't want him to kill himself. If he feels the need for speed he can hang a rocket on the back of it next season.
