Checkmate Marine President
Begins Blogging on Company Website

Bucyrus, OH (October 1, 2009) -- Checkmate Marine, Inc., a well-known manufacturer of performance powerboats, has launched a new blog on their website at www.checkmatepowerboats.net/presidents_blog.html

Checkmate's President, Doug Smith, will pen his own blog on various boating topics while offering his insights on the powerboating industry. Look for additional topics along the way, entertaining customers and boating enthusiasts alike.

This month, Doug blogged this question to his customers: If Checkmate offered, would you be interested in a service of refurbishing your Checkmate boat? Over the past few years, Checkmate has refurbished a handful of boats for long time Checkmate Marine customers. It's a service offering company executives have talked about internally as something they wanted to do, but they had never promoted it to their core customer base. Say's Doug, Maybe your boat needs new seats, lights, trimwork, carpet, or updated gauges? For engine work, we can offer installation or rework (sorry, no engine repair). What do you think? Immediately after his blog, customers responded to the Forum section on the website with positive comments. It looks like the overwhelming response has been yes, I'd definitely have my boat refurbished. Checkmate Marine encourages feedback from customers on what and how the company can do to better serve their extremely loyal following.

In addition to the President's blog, customers can subscribe to the RSS Feed function recently added to the blog section of the website. Simply clicking on the RSS feed button and subscribing to the site allows customers the opportunity to receive files sent to their inbox containing new blog posts from Doug Smith.
