Opinions on early 90's 281 Convincor?

twin 502's...owner claims high 80's gps...just curious how the ride is going to be with the twins...

any help is appreciated :cheers

If this is going to be your first big boat stay away from the twins unless you have a big wallet. One big block will push any Convincor just fine. Just think early 90's boat means a lot of parts are tired and your going to replace 2 of everything.

14 quarts of oil
16 spark plugs
16 plug wires
2 carb rebuilds
and twice the gas its not worth it in a Convincor run far and fast and don't second guess the boat.

The way I look at it if a boat has twins when its new your in good shape. When the boat gets a lot of time and age on them sell them and let some other guy deal with the 2 of everything headache

a little off topic, as I have no advice, but why were they throwing twin big blocks in convincors if it doesnt add much for speed?

The factory did build twin big block Convincors. If the boat runs high 80's thats good for a 281. But one healthy 540 will put you in the 80's
