porpoising checkmate

23 tempest plus, 10 inches, moved jackplate up and down and really didn't make much difference, if I recall correctly. I'm guessing 3 or 4 inches below.
 
Thats basically how my boat performs also. Slow down trim down and no porpoise. If I gonna run fast trim up till porpoise stops and leave it there. If I trim too much then it will start to porpoise again. once you figure it out it's pretty easy to drive the boat up and down the speed ranges without porpoising(by varying the trim according to the speed).
