I have a 1996 Checkmate 242 Convincor with a 454 Mag EFI. Does anyone have any suggestions about what size pitch prop I should use?

Thank You for your suggestions.

I have a 253 convincer with a 454 mag efi. When it was stock I tried many props, but for the water I run in ( very confused) I went with a hydrmotive quad 4. The boat handled the rough water better, than a mirage (3 blade). I ran a 24 pitch @ 4800 rpms. I should have run a 23 to get my Rs up closer to 5000. In your lighter boat a 24 should be about right, in a q-4. If you run in smoother waters then I think a 25 mirage plus would do you well.
To get the perfect prop call Jule @ throttle up propellers. Thats who I use

Thank You,
Do you have a number for her. I have a 25 mirage plus on there now and i am spoinning about 4300-4500 RPM's depending on load. I tried a 21 and a 23 pitch mirage as well and had to hold back throttle to stay under 5000 RPM's. I am getting fruewtrated but hope to figure it out soon. Thanks again.
