Pulse 210 setup

I am just looking for any info anyone might want to throw out for going a little faster!

I have a 91 Pulse 210 with a 03 yami 250 VMax hanging on the back. Right now it is hanging on a 10 in manual set back. My best speed so far has been 72 on gps with a 26 pitch Trophy (none plus) with the prop shaft about 4 in below the pad. I think i was between 5800 and 5900 rpm. Yami says 5500 is the top of the rpm range on them motor tho. Right now i am running a 26 pitch bravo 1 at about 2-3 in down on the prop shaft turning 5600-5700 rpm and running 68-9 on gps. This prop seems to be much better cruising but a little slower.

I have seen that people have gotten better than 85 out of a pulsare with a 250 VMax and i know that the pulse will never run that good but just looking to see what you all think might get me a little faster to go be mean to all the big block bahahas a little more!:D

The speed you're getting out of that big Pulse is right on the money. I think you've already found the sweet spot.

You want to Be running that motor at 58-5900 rpm. You will want to try to raise the motor up more and see how it runs and handles. Watch your water pressure And make sure you don't go below 10 psi. As far as props go bravo 1's are good All around props for that motor but not the best top end prop. You should try a 27 T1 or 29 T1 from Yamaha. They are both 3 blades and you would have to drive the boat a lot more than you do with he bravo's

Thanks for the info! I have herd good things about the T1's but have not been able to track one down to try out yet. I am actually still holding a solid 20-22 psi on the water pressure where i am at but i dont have much more up on my manual plat. This winter the boat is more than likely getting a floor and while it is out im going to go ahead and do a transom for safety and so i can be a little meaner to the boat. While i have it is apart would be the time for more set back. Do you think i would benefit from 15 or 18 in of total or do you think it would be a wast of money?

Thanks again for all of the info!

I don't know a lot about that hull to give you info about how much set back is correct. I run 14.5'' with no issues. The higher you raise your motor the easier it will be to drive. At this time I'm running a bravo 28 and 30 plus a razor 4 27. All have been worked by marks high performance Props. If I'm doing speed runs then I run my 29 T1. If you want an all out speed prop only then the BB blaster is working out good for a friend of mine with a 20 pulsare and 250 vmax. He has seen 86.1 gps
