well i finally shelled out the cash for a prop. its a 32-33P hoss. i guess it started out as a 33P but has had some work done to bring it down a CH. i hope it will not be to large. the 30P hoss i ran went like a bat out of hell. i was able to turn it to 6400 rpm with ease.

the prop calculator has some good numbers for me. i figure i will drop a few rpms. i even added more slip since i may have to jack it up a bit more.

RPM= 6100 - Gear Ratio= 1.87 - Prop Dia.= 32 - Slip%= .11 - Speed= 88 MPH

This is going to be a wild ride.:eyecrazy:

Take out the seats, Beer cooler, anchor etc and you might see 90:surf:

Maybe you could wetsand the hull too?

your predictor has come a long way since the days of the old 115!
goodluck and godspeed

geoff, i will be happy with 85. i just dont want to blow over. :confused: i will have all my safty equip on for sure when i run it that fast.

Mike, all the ice is gone but the river is still very high and fast. not to mention all the trees and stumps floating along as well. i wont be able to hit the water until early may. all the garbage has to clear out first.

The safety equipment is a good idea. The guy I purchaced my bass boat from has an Allison with a 2.5 Merc and he claimed that he was ejected at 107mph. But he said he had a hockey helmet, gogles, and a life jacket on and didn't break a bone.

you might want to pickup a lifeline lifejacket if you're aiming for that speed. hate for anything to happen to you.

Your in for a ride

I was in that boat at 80 with no place to hold on. I think I will be on the beach when he attempts 85. I would reccomend a life jacket, a helmet, and a neck brace. Oh yeah, cell phone with 911 on speed dial.

Whats the weather like there how long till we get to here the numbers.:drool: I cant imagine running that speed in that size of boat. I ran my starflite over 70mph when it was blowing very hard , I wont do that agin the wind hit ii sideways and moved the back end over on me that was more then enuff thrill for me .Aaron

running 80 isnt as bad as you all think. there are however times it does get a bit hairy. as long as you are comfortable it is easy to run full tilt all day long.

aaron, i should be on the water in a couple weeks. its getting into the high 50's now. i just have to wait for the water to go down and all the garbage to clear out of the river.

Youll be fine at 85-90. Like you said as long as its not windy you feel comfortable there should be no problems the boat is alot more stable than people think....
I wish I could come for a ride though:bounce:
