1978 checkmate for sale

For sale:: 1978 checkmate, 20' convinsor, open bow. 1 of only 8 made. Mercrusier 350 cid engine with alpha drive and ss prop. Drive rebuilt last year. Boat runs 70+ mph. Origional blue/silver metal flake gelcoat. Boat has been stored inside but is in need of some gelcoat repair to top deck area. Has new engine bonnet cover but is also in need of some additional interior updates. Mercrusier shifter/throttle assembly with additional hot foot throttle control. Sits on single axle trailer with 1 year old tires. Second owner. Selling due to health issues. Boat located in western ohio. $5500 or best offer. Contact joe @ 937-720-4084 or mike @ 937-248-6381​

The owner called Checkmate a few years back wanting another windshield and was told no that they had only made eight open bows. No parts were available and that they discontinued this style.....Call Joe he is very knowledgeable.....

For those of you that are interested, windshield frame material very similar to that used to make Checkmate windshields is available from Ocean Dynamics at www.oceandynamics.com. Take a look at their site, it may be useful to forum members.
 
Price lowered again.

Seller has lowered price to $3000. OBO. Needs to sell due to health problems. Good solid boat. Just needs some TLC.
